Traffic Statistics for 2007
**The following stats are what was reported to the Colorado Department of Transportation for DUI Grant Approval.
This is the first and only year the LJPD will track it's traffic statistics. This was done for grant approval to provide DUI instruments and training for the officers of the police department. As a result of this the department received over $4000 in equipment.
1)Total number of hours of enforcement (speed and DUI) activity: 4002.5
2)Total number of traffic contacts: 1735
3)Total number of enforcement actions taken: 628
For what and how many: DUI- 47 Insurance- 72
Speeding - 226 Seatbelt- 42
Other - 241 Avg. BAC .161
4)Total number of officers in Agency: 14
5)Total number of officers SFST Trained: 14
