Backgrounds

The
La Junta Police Department
Reserve Academy

Director: Vince Fraker
719-384-2525

Only sponsored reserve officers may attend this academy.  That means you must be accepted by a law enforcement agency in order to attend.  Officers under go over 200 hours of training.  This training consists of a variety of law enforcement skills both academic and tactical. Classes are held Thursday evenings and on Saturdays. The academy lasts about four to five months. Sponsored officers did not have to pay for these classes. Attendance in the Academy is 100% mandatory for all skill sets, and academic classes.

* We are looking at starting an academy in the summer of 2009.

If you are interested in joining the La Junta Police Reserves, please contact the below party.
