Is a Canadian Website that has a large amount of information on a wide variety of scams you may encounter. The La Junta Area has seen two recent types of scams that are talked about on this site.
Email and Internet Hoaxes
There are numerous email "warnings" and "hoaxes" which are circulating through the email systems. The LJPD is providing you with links to sites where you can research and validate email warnings you may receive.

Hoax Encyclopedia Virus Hoaxes and other misinformation about viruses.
Hoax Kill Once you are certain that a message is a hoax, you can send it to hoaxkill@hoaxkill.com. Our software will then extract the addresses of all previous recipients from the message and inform them all that the message is a hoax.
